Pilgrimage of Peace

This is a historical and spiritual pilgrimage on the Outer path of the St. Olavsleden trail. The theme of the pilgrimage is Peace. The path goes trough beautiful cultural landscapes and we will visit some of the key historical places in Trøndelag.

Amongst the activities on this pilgrimage is a guided tour of the Stiklestad cultural center and musem, A visit to Falstad Center og peace and human rights and the 22nd of July memorial room at Tautra Monastery. Specialist guides, Qioging and mindfulness is among the program details.

The only jekt still existing in the whole world, “Pauline” (built in 1897), will take us across the fjord to Trondheim. We spend the last night at Nidaros Pilgrim Center. There will be an opportunity to attend the mass at the cathedral on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

Walking together in a group gives new depth to old friendships and favourable conditions for new friendships. On this guided walk, you will enjoy wonderful nature-based experiences and gain knowledge of the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Walking in the pilgrims’ footsteps can be a spiritual journey as well as a beautiful nature-based experience. On the way to the Nidaros Cathedral, you will be part of a fellowship, learn fascinating history, visit traditional pilgrim hostels and eat local food. We emphasize experiences to stimulate reflection and joy. Our wandering through a changing landscape invites conversation and reflection.

We start our pilgrimage at Stiklestad in the afternoon on august 18th with a welcome dinner followed by a guided tour of the museum. We arrive in Trondheim on Sunday, August 23rd in time for mass in the Cathedral at 11:00 am.
