Pilgrims who need a boat lift from Tautra to Trondheim or from Frosta to Steinvikholmen / Stjørdal can book a guided tour of the fjord from Frosta Leirskole.
It is possible to book until 30th of August.
The boat must be booked in advance, but please call them even if you are a bit late to book, maybe other pilgrims have booked the boat and there are vacant seats. The boat takes 5 passengers. There are no regular departures.

If the weather conditions are bad, the captain may cancel the trip for safety reasons. The alternatives are to wait for better weather or to go by train from Åsen.
The more adventurous pilgrimage can try to hitchhike with the sailors association. They have a club house and pier at Tautra. Ask for directions at Klostergården.
